Training Log 1.8.23

Training: Week 4 of A2S 1.0. This was the deload testing week and everything felt good. Training maxes are pretty much all on point at this time and the reps are overall not off from the max rep expectation. Squat was 445×12, Bench was 295×8, OHP was 180×12, deadlift was the deload 430x3x5. Current training maxes are set at 570 on squat, 365 on bench, 615 on deadlift, and 240 on OHP.

BJJ: 3 training sessions this week, 2 classes and open mat. Had travel this past weekend. Rolling feels good. My hands are the most beat up.

Running: Ran after the lifting days. I’m liking that I’m doing the post training run to mimic the ACFT. It’s harder running in a fatigued state, but I’m keeping the pace low and just practicing.

Stress: This week will be challenging, the travel added some stress overall.

Sleep: Was still down at 5:56 time asleep for the week with travel. Need to get this up by getting to bed earlier. I suspect this will improve over the next month as my wife finishes breastfeeding. We’re changing our sons sleep schedule which is adding some stress right now too.

Learning: finished leaders eat last and started the A4M endocrine module. It’s been great so far and I’ve been consistent with a lecture a day. Still getting the podcasts in too. So it’s been a good start to the year on this. Had to review a chapter and a couple articles yesterday.
