Training: Started week three of Tactical Barbell’s base building template. Things all feel well so far. I’ve really struggled not lifting. To suppress this I ended up doing the front squat, bench, pull ups on a couple of the days. My front squat is poor and I don’t feel like it’s really doing anything to my training as a result. The 40 rep sets were much more challenging than I anticipated.
BJJ: Got back on the mats this week which has been nice. Return to my primary school tomorrow morning which I’m excited to do. I trained primarily no-GI abroad and I’m curious to see how I feel back in the Gi tomorrow.
Sleep: Has been much improved over the past week. Was primarily on vacation which helps things. Average time asleep is back up to 6:51 which is an improvement. Sleeping has not been an issues
Stress; Readiness has significantly improved over the past two weeks. I think the major time zone change is only now starting to correct itself. This took about two weeks. I wasn’t training BJJ during most of that time so I think the timing worked out well. Significant stress with the transition, but I think this should resolve over the next month or so.
Learning: Have been working through ACLM’s conference and Paul Chek’s programs. This has been consistent to date and a nice break from reading daily.
