Got released from active duty orders and am on a transition week back to “normal” life. Had almost a complete shift in my sleep cycle and all my bio markers are jacked up. Started a new training program last week. Integrating back into relationships.
Training: Week 1 of TB base building. Everything felt fine during week 1. I’m struggling with the reduction in strength training. I know that there’s a method to the program, but I’m struggling not lifting. Training heavy has been a part of my life for a long time. So between Easy Strength and now this program I feel like there’s been a shift away from my normal training. Given I had a reduction in BJJ my activity is overall down. This is mentally messing with me. The running feels great and I think I had a good base built up from running consistently over the past 6 weeks.
BJJ: off this week and next week. Tried to train on vacation and the gyms are closed for master’s worlds. Hoping guys from my gym do well at the tourney.
Sleep: very poor last week with the transition. Score was averaging 64. Time asleep dropped significantly and struggling with the time zone change.
Stress: I feel like my stress has dropped significantly from external causes. I know there’s a ton of “stress” with the transition, sleep, and integration.
Learning: Really struggling to get a consistent pattern going. Got behind with work and have been working on catching up. It’s amazing how quickly things fall off when I miss a day.
