Training Log 2.2.2021

Training: Week 10 Average to Savage 1.0. I thought I was out of the woods with my little bug and I had another 3 days of symptoms after feeling alright for 48 hours. Made this past week of training just about doing the bare minimum. Felt back to normal today which was nice. Hit 140×13 on OHP, Squat 375×14, Bench 255×12 and Deads I did speed work with banded 315. I had no gas on the rep sets this past week which was frustrating. What I thought was odd was the heavier sets prior felt like the strength was there. My muscle endurance was toast. I’ll be curious to see how the remainder of this microcycle go. I still feel engaged in this program and I feel like things have been going well, but I’m already starting to think about what I’m going to do for the next program. Once I get through this program I’ll have a 16 week block where I likely will just work on something new.

BJJ: Training was up and down over the past week. Trained 4 sessions which is a step in the right direction. I still feel like the training is unfocused and has room for improvement.

Sleep: Time in bed and time asleep were down in the last week of Jan, 7:22 and 6:28. Readiness was way down and the sleep score was near the bottom of the month as well.

Stress: My HR average was higher than normal and was surprisingly the highest average of the month. I felt like I was a lot more fatigued the past week mentally and physically. I just feel like mentally I’m ready for another break. I’m curious to see how my next mobilization goes to see if I come out of that time period feeling refreshed or like I need more time off.

Learning: Finished upside down thinking. Started American Ulysses. Reading habit has been a lot better than the past couple weeks. I think it’s just spending some time doing it early to make sure the habits in place.
