Training:
Week 2 of Tactical Barbell’s operator template. All lifts were 3 sets of 5 reps. Squat 435, SSB Squat 335, Front Squat 275, Bench 295, DB incline 100, OHP 185, Clean 185, Rackpull 465, Deadlift 445. This whole week things didn’t really feel locked in. I’m curious how the increased intensity with the dropped reps will feel next week. I continue to mentally fluctuate about doing the 4 day upper/lower split vs the 3 day full body workouts. I find it harder to recover from the 3 full body days a week. I may just be using too high of training maxes that don’t translate from the upper lower split to the full body.
BJJ:
3 sessions this past week. Didn’t train over the weekend.
Running:
3 runs after the lifts that were all shorter. Once my schedules determined, I’ll probably go in after my clinic days on MWF to get these done.
Sleep:
Started using the Oura to track again. As expected the time asleep had a drop off because it is a more sensitive marker for this. My time in bed was 7:05 and time asleep was 6:26.
Stress:
Up. Had dental pain from grinding which I’ve never had. Stressed about the transition at work and wife being pregnant. Stress is high right now.
Learning:
Still working through Building the Elite and Investing for Dummies. I thought I would be done with both by now, but didn’t do the best job with time management. Need to work on my new schedule this week. Had outside obligations come up and I’m just procrastinating on getting an ILE paper done.
