Training: Energy has been pretty depleted as of late. I was hitting minimum numbers on most of the movements this past week. Squat – 405×10, 375×10, 350×12. Bench – 265×10, 245×10, 225×24. OHP – 175×10, 160×10, 145×18. This was from Average to Savage 1.0. My goal is to reintroduce deadlifts into the program this upcoming week. I’m considering dropping down to three days a week training to consolidate volume. Day 1 – Squat, bench, rack pull. Day 2 – BSS, DB incline bench, and cleans. Day 3 – Front Squat, OHP, Deadlifts. I’ll likely do pull ups after every set just to keep that in. I would like to put more emphasis on running and improving my GPP. I would like to consider adding in a speed day of shorter distances instead of doing the interval training.
Running: 4 LSS short, 1 LSS long. Felt much harder than usual.
Sleep: Average duration was 6:59 excluding the two days of travel. These really crushed my sleep pattern. I transitioned to a completely different time zone and am trying to get back on EST. I’ve been using melatonin and I’ll probably use it for the week.
Stress: Mixed – starting another large transition phase. Day to day stress is very low right now. I need to spend some time planning.
Learning: Finished Sapolsky’s book Determined – I’ll need to do a little write up on it. I’ll probably move on to David Brooks – How to Know a Person this week. I increased my medical reading which was a must. Continued reading transcripts for my podcasts. Have continued working on ILE, the topic is very boring to me and it’s been a grind.
