Training:
Primarily worked through week 6 of A2S 1.0 and the strength + 10k for the accessory and cardio workouts. Took the ACFT on Friday. Bench day was 280×8, 265×8, 245×10. Squat day was 435×8, 405×8, 380×12. ACFT score was 591. Deads 340×3 easy, med ball toss was 12.5 which was the worst I’ve ever done in this event, 63 push ups, 1:23 on the SDC, 3:40 on the plank, and 15:20 on the 2 mile. It rained the whole time and I released early on the toss, I still need to work on technique for maximal distance. It was the first time I didn’t max the first 5 events. The run improved by about 10 seconds, but I obviously neglected the speed work in order to perform better on this event. I still struggle with the motivation to be as consistent with the runs as I’ve traditionally been with the lifting. After doing this, I was beat.
Running:
3 runs this past week, interval, tempo and the ACFT.
BJJ:
4 sessions the past week. Less than ideal.
Sleep:
Absolute trash. Got addicted to the show the Boys and Reacher. Finished both of them.
Stress:
Mixed. Will be transitioning back home in the next couple weeks and I’m excited, curious and nervous about how everything will go with that. I really look forward to being with family.
Learning:
Got through the podcasts, should finish Berkshire Hathaway University this week. Have been working through ILE and this has been more boring than I anticipated. Just need to keep grinding it out. Looking forward to the next topics a lot more than the current ones.
