Training:
Last week strained my back and needed to modify the volume on the lower body day. Training at the percentages was not sustainable. In hindsight should have lowered the training max that I used. That’s always been my struggle with CHP programs is consistently training with weights in the 95%. To me that’s not sustainable, and I’d be curious why they elected to use those numbers. So for the main movements I just used the average to savage and have continued the accessories as written in the strength and 10k program. Squat 375×12, 345×12, 315×15. Bench 245×12, 225×12, 205×20. Deadlift just did rack pulls with 405×12 – felt fine, but not 100%. OHP 160×12, 150×12, 135×20. Training has just felt ok.
Running: Did some cross training early in the week and just did LSS runs while recovering. By the weekend things felt better and like I could move.
BJJ: 4 training sessions this week. Felt fine. Took the weekend off which felt good.
Sleep: 7:03 for the week. Been a lot more fatigued recently. Think it’s just laziness and complacency.
Stress: Stress is low. I feel that the overall drop in production is making me feel more tired and lazy. It’s the paradox of the less you do, the worse you feel.
Learning: Also contributing. I should start ILE phase II next week. Hopeful that gives me a little boost. Found out I still have access to the lifestyle medicine board review course, so I’ve been working through that and it should take me about a week to get through. I’ve done a really shitty job with the medical reading outside of that. Have two weeks left in the change maker academy which has been lackluster. Will probably finish Elon Musk in the next couple days. Then will probably try to finish Diplomacy. Both are taking me longer to get through than I would like.
