Training 12.25.22

Training:
Week 2 of Average to Savage 1.0. Trained on atypical days because of the holiday. Ended up training Tuesday, Friday, Saturday. Squat 390×10, 360×10, 335×23. Bench 255×10, 235×10, 225×19. Dead lift 405×20, 425x8x3. OHP 155×10, 145×10, 135×21. I think not taking a deload/max week prior to starting this program was a mistake. Body feels fine overall. Didn’t hit accessories on Day 3 because I was trying to rush home.

Running:
Did 1.5 miles prior to all lifts and I’m glad I got these in. Might hit a longer run today. We’ve had sub zero temperatures so runs have been on the treadmill. I’ve been trying to finish with a half mile after the lift to build some toughness. ACFT ends with the run and I feel like it’s in a fatigued state. Trying to do the run immediately following the lift has been really challenging. I found in the past when I would wait like 10 min, it wasn’t an issue. Now that I’m trying to be as efficient as possible, it’s making this run very challenging.

BJJ:
Three sessions this week and was hopeful to get in some training over the holiday, but nobody is going in. I think we all want to stay married.

Sleep:
Mildly up last week, but still insufficient. Was at 6:19 time asleep.

Stress:
Just up with the changes in the next year and the holidays. I still haven’t completely recovered from the illness a couple weeks ago.

Learning:
Have done a pretty good job reading, but it hasn’t been sufficient to date. I need to keep on reading and learning.
