Training Log 10.25.22

Training:
This past week was a mess. Was on week 8 of average to savage 1.0 which was a testing week. The week prior had great sessions. We were house sitting and didn’t have normal equipment at the home gym. The squats I used a transformer bar on a high setting and worked up to 365×3 on this prior to my knees killing me so I shut it down. Bench was 300×5, OHP was 180×7. Deads were rep sets of 475x3x5. Glad we got home on the weekend and I could at least train in our normal gym on the deadlift/OHP day.

BJJ:
Got in 2 sessions this past week with an open mat. Will be increasing to 3-4 session this next week. Body feels fine because I wasn’t running the past couple weeks.

Running:
Pretty much nothing except the most recent workout. Felt like I took a couple steps back by not doing this consistently. I know I need to practice getting at least a mile in after my lifts to train for a fatigued run.

Sleep:
Last week was trash with time asleep down to 5:36. Felt it this past week as well. Had a couple extra hours on the commute and this ate into my sleep. Glad to be back at home in our bed.

Stress:
All vacation stress relief was eliminated by the house/farm sitting when we got back. Was very high this past week.

Learning:
have been consistently getting lectures done for the ABOM exam in 2.5 weeks. Feel that I’m behind in my preparation for this exam and hope it goes well. Looking forward to having this test over with. Will start doing A4M and ILE training modules once this is complete. Started zero to one and enjoy the general concepts.
