Training Log 6.19.22

Training: Have continued the 3 day a week training. I’m not at home so I have been using what I have. I did 405x5x5 for squat, 295x5x5, on front squat, and 240×20 on leg press. Pull ups bw x 10 x 8, clean 185x3x5, and 415×5,5×4 on deads. Bench was 275x5x4, OHP 175x5x4, and incline DB press 95x5x4. I’m glad I got the training in this week and the lifts have overall felt better than expected. I felt very week on the DB incline press and need to include that more consistently. I think the dumbbell work and unilateral work I’ve been neglecting. Instead of the squat on the third day I might consider doing some split squats or lunges.

Running: Got the 4 sessions of runs in this week. I felt like trash on the tempo run. The intervals and long run felt fine. I still struggle with the running and wanting to get this done.

BJJ: 1 session this week. I’m not at home and my hours for this course have been long. Not having a car has been a barrier as well. I’ll try to get in at least three sessions this week pending how the course ends up.

Learning: At a course for the military so it’s been more of that than anything else. I have struggled with my normal reading and been reading more about leadership than medicine.

Sleep: was trash the first three days of the course. I thought it would be better than it is as I don’t have a crying kid. Hopefully will be rested by the time I get home. Only averaged 6:07 time asleep last week. Will likely increase this significantly this next week.

Stress: Up and down. The course has brought on additional obligations, but I don’t have too much else to worry about. Was hoping for a little more time for reflection than I’ve had previously.
