Training Log 6.12.22

Training:
The past two weeks have been up and down. Two weeks ago I was feeling over trained and this week felt a lot better. I increased the number of sets every week from 3-5 over the past three weeks and things felt good. Bench was 275×5, SSB was 335×5, front squat was 275×5, Deads were sumo/convo 405×5,5, Incline bench was 215, clean was work up sets to 225 and squat was 405.

Running:
Was more consistent the past couple of weeks. I’m considering just doing my long run on Saturday as I don’t think I’ll have time for BJJ. I think it’s been an adjustment to just find when am I going to train.

BJJ:
Past two weeks have just been 2-3x a week. This has been lacking and I need to spend the next couple weeks coming up with a more consistent schedule. When my wife works nights it throws me off and I need to find more days that are alternates to get the training in. We will be starting competition training on Wednesday AMs and I’m really looking forward to this.

Sleep:
Significant decrease over the past two weeks. When I overtrained it was the lowest amount of sleep I’ve had in a while and I think this contributed.

Stress:
Mixed. Globally it’s been high. Progressively been knocking out small milestones and this is helping me with work. I know I need to make a change with work and I’m hoping to take the next couple weeks to come up with a plan for the next couple years.

Learning:
Been better about getting in my reading for the ACLM and ABOM boards. I’ve come to the realization that I need to spend the next 6 months on the ACLM and ABOM. I need to put some of the other things to the side. This has been a struggle for me and I want to stay up to date on everything. I’m learning slowly this is not feasible and I need to mix the consistent learning with more intensive periods of study.
