Training Log 3.27.22

While I still feel like there’s been progress over the past 6 weeks. My wife and I are still adjusting. I know my role is to support my wife, but as the husband I’m really limited in what I can do when she’s breastfeeding.

Training: this week was not one where I pushed it. I pretty much took it as a deload. I ended up doing just 3 lifts this past week and didn’t push anything. I feel like the front squats and squats are improving. I was doing 275 and 365 on fronts and back squats. Deads I just did sets of 10 with 315 with sumos followed by conventional. Incline bench was 185×10. The incline bench has been slow moving. I need to start considering a formal program to work towards a training goal.

BJJ: Trained Tuesday through Friday. I still want to add in the Friday evening and early morning Sunday. Been dealing with an issue with my left arm. Irritated my left elbow.

Sleep: Been poor this week. The baby hasn’t been sleeping well and then had coverage on Saturday night and didn’t get home until around midnight.

Stress: a lot going on with work and family health issues so up in general.

Learning: Felt kind of in a funk. Not hitting the reading that I want to get in and been missing even some of the chapter a day reading. Did all the podcasts, Duolingo, and bible reading this week.
