Training:
Worked through the first week of easy strength. I think it was a good choice given the period of life that I’m currently in. As I push the intensity, I have had to take a step back. I’ve really struggled with the runs. I don’t know if I’ve been pushing them too much. I was feeling great, but today I’m feeling a little beat up. I think the sleep pattern is catching up to me. Hit 435×5/5 on deads and 225 for reps on the incline. The rest of the work I don’t have a good gauge for how things are going.
BJJ:
It felt really good to get back into the gym this past week. I’ll planning on training Tues-Friday. I’ll be training in the morning and likely right after I do my morning lift. I need to get the work done early in the morning so that I can be home supporting my wife later in the day.
Sleep:
Total hours were up this past week to 7:30 time asleep. I was in bed a lot more than I can remember, but the broken up sleep from the baby is really impacting how I feel. I don’t think we have a good routine built in yet and both of us are already excited for him to sleep through the night.
Stress:
Up as I prepare to go back to work next week. Most of the stress is from worrying about my wife being at home without me. I think it will be most hard on her. I’m hopeful that I can find some energy when I get home to support her.
Learning:
About 90% done with the Chek HLC 2 course. I’ve set up the chapter a day on my to do list and I was easily able to accomplish this over the past week. I’ve been learning more about corporate real estate as we’ll probably buy another building in the next year.
