Training Log 1.29.22

Little disappointed in my writing for the year. I have not been as consistent as I would like. This and with my journal reading. I don’t know the best solution yet. I think I just need to do it on Thursday morning, but I haven’t just set a time.

Training:

Training was much better this past week. Felt stronger and had the endurance to get through training. I’ve been continuing a monster set up squats/front squats, push ups, cleans, OHP, med ball toss, and weighted pull ups. I’ve been alternating squats and front squats every session. I’ve been finishing with a rep set of hanging leg raises. I start with a 10 min run and end with the same. I’ve been averaging 5 sets just from a time constraint. The squat weight was up to 395, front squat was 290, clean and press were 175, med ball toss was 20-30lb, and weighted pull ups was 35-53. My running shape has continued to improve over the past couple weeks as well. 

BJJ: 

Trained 5 times the past two weeks. I think I’m trying to crank the volume now as much as possible before we have the kid as I have no idea what training will be like once they come. 

Sleep: 

Total sleep was down a little last week to 6:15 and time in bed was also down to 7:01. Uncertain what I’m going to attribute that too. Overall, feeling fine. 

Stress: 

HRV has shot up to about 120ms and RHR of 40bpm. Stress is still very high. 

Learning: 

Finished rich dad poor dad, wooden. Have continued working through the Chek course and the master fitness trainer course. I’m about ⅔ of the way done with both. It’s been nice having some scheduled continued learning. Still getting through at least a chapter or two a day. I feel like this has been some of the most consistent learning I’ve done in a while.
