Training Log 1.22.22

Training: 

Energy is finally normalizing. It’s taken about two weeks to regain my endurance. This has been frustrating. It’s a period of time when I felt like I took about 5 steps back on lifting. Have been doing monster sets with squat/front squat (315-385/285), push ups (25), power cleans (175-225), med ball toss (10-30), OHP 155, and weighted pull ups (35-53) all for sets of 5. Just now getting to increasing the sets. This past week I was able to get 5 sets in again. I strained my left pec so I stopped benching and just started doing light over head press. 

BJJ: 

5 training sessions this past week. I don’t think there’s going to be much benefit getting an extra training day. At least at this point of time. If anything my training will decrease with the kid on the way. 

Sleep: 

Time asleep has been stable at 6:31 and time in bed at 7:24. Quality has been up and down. My wife’s waking up a lot and this is impacting my sleep as well. 

Stress: 

Resting HR is down from a couple weeks ago and pretty stable at 40bpm. My HRV has been trending up greatly to 118ms. So it appears I’m recovering from getting sick 2-3 weeks ago. 

Learning: 

Been doing a lot better with my reading. Continuing with the HLC course and started the master fitness trainer course. Will continue working for the next couple weeks to finish both of these. Goal is to get them both done in the next three weeks.
