Training Log 8.31.21

It was a challenging week. Had a cool opportunity and I’m hopeful that young lives will be granted opportunities in our country as a result. Well see how the next couple weeks go. The opportunity I was granted made me modify my training this past week. A trade off that I’m willing to make.

Training: This past week was not the best when it came to training. I was called into the hospital on Monday night and then had to change my location. So I bumped my Tuesday and Wednesday workouts into an abbreviated workout on Thursday. I then trained on Friday and Saturday. Hit the minimum reps on bench and OHP due to sleep deprivation. So for the work sets hit 205×15 on bench, 125×15 on OHP, 315x5x5 on squat and 475×10 on deads.

BJJ: 1 training session this past week, which actually went well. Continuing to run the class when I’m there and this week we’re going over taking the back.

Sleep: Way down last week with an average time asleep of 5:26. Was getting 3-4 hours a night for 4 days in a row which smoked me. Finally starting to catch up now.

Stress: Lack of sleep, moves, and the job increased this significantly. Still don’t think I’m completely recovered. I’m feeling it with training and overall reps are down a little bit when they should be increasing month over month.

Learning: Mojo has not been there. Ended up giving a lecture this past Saturday which went well. Still reading probably an hour a day, but this is significantly down.
