Training 5.4.21

It’s been quite some time since I did my training log or reflected on some of my reading. I’ve been thinking and not doing. Maybe the solution is write every day that I’m off so it’s more of a habit. Today is just trying to get the tires moving again.

Training: Week 5 of Strength and 10k Hybrid Athlete. Training has gone well over the past week. I’m feeling more comfortable with the higher intensity. I hit 320x3x3 on bench, 435x4x4 on squat, 160x3x3 on OHP. Since I last wrote, my running lagged. I got a new pair of Altra’s and ran in them and aggravated my Achilles. This took about 4 weeks to recover from. It’s feeling better now, but I felt like I quickly lost some of the running shape that I was in. I’m hopeful to just get a good score in two weeks on the new fitness test and move on.

Diet: BW is going down with the increased running. I’m right around 205 right now. I’ve been leaning out which makes me concerned for injury.

BJJ: The month of April I trained 20 times. This was the high for the year. I’ve been averaging 5 days a week. Have overall felt good and not too beat up.

Sleep: Time in bed has dropped the past two months to 7:08 and time asleep was down as well to 6:10. Goal for this month will be to increase both by 15 min. That has not been going great so far.

Stress: Has been way up. Lots of family dynamic issues over the past 3 weeks. I need to pray more.
