Training 3.2.21

I’m behind on blogging. I haven’t been updating rolling reflections nor am I staying on top of these training logs. I just haven’t prioritized writing.

Training: I’m in the last week over average to Savage 1.0. This was the final training well and this week I’m going to work up to a testing day prior to vacation. I hit 485×2 then 430×7 on squats, 335×2, 295×7, OHP 185×2 and 165×8, dead’s I did speed work with 315 with bands. This week is going to be deloads with a mock meet on Friday before I leave. Training this week felt like it was dragging. My sleep was down and I think that played in to how I was feeling. I’m still thinking I’m going to do the post deployment program or find another 16 week hypertrophy program.

BJJ: Another 4 session week. We just started another leg lock month so we’ll see how my ankles feel in at the end of the month.

Sleep/Stress: Sleep was way down this past week. This is a little frustrating. Just haven’t been getting into bed early enough on my days where I typically get more sleep. My sleep dropped to the average time in bed being around 6:30 and time asleep of 5:50. it’s not enough and I’m feeling it. The HRV was down again to 109. I’m hopeful that I can focus more on sleep this week and then recover on vacation.

Learning: Finished Book of Five Rings, Bogleheads 3 fund, and almost done with Jordan Peterson’s new book. I just feel like I can’t catch up from the past couple week and I’m losing a lot of my study habits and writing habits. I need to make these more of a focus and work on reflecting from my readings.
