Training 9.22.20

Week 4 Average to Savage 2.0

Workout: this week felt much better than last week. There was a day last week where I could only hit the rep minimum. This week things really improved from a muscular conditioning standpoint. Pushing the lifts beyond 2 over the Rx’d reps created more soreness today than I expected. I’m enjoying doing more training. I’ve been playing with the supplemental exercises. I have been trying to do a corrective and at least one other movement between the main lifts. The problem I run into, I get carried away and will do 2-3 supplemental lifts in between which draws out the total workout. The day with 4 main movements I’m not doing any finisher and on the other two days I’m finishing with belt march and prowler. Bench 245×15, Deads 395×14, Squat 370×11.

BJJ: Had multiple great lessons this week. Picked up details that really helped on Monday as well as yesterday. It was nice to pick one of the black belts minds on some basic positions on Monday.

Sleep: Increased sleep by an average of 10 min a day to 6:31 time asleep. We moved the dog into our room and we’ve been sleeping through the night. Averaging 7:30 in bed.

Stress: Still up and down and feeling behind overall. Have to keep studying for the IFM test and it’s finding time that’s been challenging.

Diet: Weight is down a couple pounds to 208lb. Have discontinued symptoms over the weekend. Still looking to do a better job on food prep for lunch.

Learning: IFM lectures – immune, still working through Lifespan and will likely finish this week.
