Week 3 Average to Savage 2.0
Workout: Last week I felt trashed and it extended into the first workout of this week. I’m not certain why I hit a wall. I think it was throwing an extra training session in. Worked up to 415×6 on squat, 265×8 on bench, and 430×10 on deads. I still feel like the muscular endurance is down compared to when I was running this program before. I’m still not pushing the lifts like I was in the past to try to ease back into this program. I’m enjoying some of the supplemental lifts such as the SSB Squat and Front squat. The front squats felt much stronger this week.
BJJ: Been going over foot and ankle locks. Got a second stripe on my purple belt. I feel overall like my game has been more on the down than up lately. Last month was the most training I’ve done in a while and I’m hoping to continue that trend.
Sleep: Sleep time has been averaging 6:19 with time in bed up to 7:30. Efficiency still sucks with the dog. I’ve been more mindful about getting more sleep due to increased stress.
Stress: This has really been up overall. I feel like the biggest contributor was work. I had time off with labor day and then got killed with work and drill. Had meetings on the day I was supposed to have off and this just further got me upset. Struggling with trying to figure out what to give up.
Diet: Weight has been consistent. Not where I want to be from a dietary standpoint. Relying a lot on supplement foods and not whole foods. This is probably due to a lack of preparation and a lack of sleep.
Learning: I need to be more mindful with this. I feel like I’ve been lax with some of the podcasts and reading time. This has been compromised due to meetings. Started David Sinclair’s Lifespan book which I’ve enjoyed. Also going through David Deutche’s fabric of reality. Got through Examine personalized. Need to stay focused on my textbook readings and functional medicine.
